Our Experience: June is a great time to visit Italy for good weather; however, the cities can get really hot. We spent a lot of time in Rome and on the Amalfi Coast in early June. While we had sunny days the whole trip, we definitely appreciated indoor seating and museums during the heat of the day.
In addition, it was much more crowded than what we experienced in Italy in May. Based on our experience, we suggest doing outdoor city activities in the mornings to beat the heat and the crowds.
